You might not know exactly what to expect from life coaching–what you could get out of the process, what life coaching looks like, or if it’s a good fit for your current needs. If so, you’ve come to the right place!
Life coaching, as a whole, is about creating an empathetic yet objective environment that can help you get from where you are today to where you want to go. It’s all about giving you a supportive, judgment-free relationship with a coach who can help you organize your goals and ideas, design a path forward, and take practical action to better your life. Oh, and you’re going to feel So. Much. Better.
What Does Life Coaching Look Like?
It’s tricky to describe what a life coaching session actually looks like because it varies so much from one coach to the next. While I can’t speak for the entire industry, I can tell you what you can expect at Mindset.
Coaching sessions are similar to therapy sessions in their structure, but with different goals and intentions in mind. It’s a straightforward conversation between you and me, typically over the phone or via Zoom. I’m here to be your objective, compassionate sounding board and guide to help you figure out where you want your life to go. And together, we’ll formulate active steps toward that goal. Unlike a friend or family member offering a heavy dose of “This is what I think you should do…,” I’m here to help uncover what you want and then help you make that happen! There’s no need to be anyone other than yourself – come as you are and I’ll be here to listen.
Does Life Coaching Work?
We all want our money to go to good use, so is life coaching worth it? It can be – it’s a question of who you hire and whether you participate actively. Life coaching isn’t regulated so every coach has different qualifications, communication styles, and approaches. But, if you hire a knowledgeable, experienced coach and put forth a genuine effort, life coaching is truly life-changing!
